The role

The ideal People and Culture Consultant for Valtech is passionate about the experience revolution. This innovative individual looks to continually learn, and enjoys sharing expertise. Strong verbal and written communication are a must.

Role responsibilities

Valtech is looking for a passionate, dynamic people & Culture Consultant to join our Engage Team. In this role you will partner directly with the People and Culture team in driving positive experiences for employees and leaders across Valtech through key areas.

  • Hiring and onboarding
    • Ensure all documents that are required for new employees in Colombia are complete
    • Ensure affiliation of new hires to the full social security entities
    • Ensure systems and onboarding process is setup and ready for joiners
    • File all documents in the HRIS tool once the process has ended
    • Set up new hire medical exam appointments with our local vendor
    • In the case of having a foreign employee, include them in the RUTEC system.
    • Collaborate and provide On Boarding People and Culture sessions for new employees
    • Collaborate with the On Boarding network to ensure that all joiners complete their process on time and with a great experience
  • People Records Management
    • Support employees on social security changes, such as EPS, pension fund or ARL.
    • Support the development, implementation and improvement of HR-related policies and procedures in compliance with local labor laws and company guidelines.
    • Prepare termination documents
    • Support People Team initiatives and special projects
    • Maintain our Dayforce system up to date on the employee journey stages
  • Operations Support
    • Be tier 2 to our HR ticketing system to provide answers to our employees in a clear and timely manner
    • Review, process in the local EPS, and follow up on sick leaves working alongside our payroll team to complete the end-to- end process
    • Collaborate with our HR shared services team to align on FAQs to provide answers to our employees
    • Initiate ticketing requests for off boarding activities
    • Process off cycle requests in our HRIS system such as movements, promotions, terminations and others related to employee service requests.
    • Provide guidance to employees on the use of our internal tools and communication channels.
    • Contribute and participate on automation and improvement plans of our LATAM operations.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a fast-paced environment desired
  • Generalist human resources experience of at least 3 years
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing an HRIS - preferably Ceridian Dayforce
  • Creative problem solving, superior organization skills, customer service skills and flexibility
  • Basic knowledge of applicable employment laws and practices
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Holds to high work standards, is dependable and reliable
  • Outstanding relationship management skills
  • Detail oriented, excellent written and verbal communication, follow-up skills and maintains confidentiality

  • Continuous improvement mindset, open to learning from a global experience.
