The role
Valtech is looking for someone to join our team as a Production Support Engineer, who is organized, proactive, and driven to build operational consistency across a portfolio of client accounts. This role will help increase efficiency, accuracy, and create a stand-out client experience. Our ideal candidate will look to continuously improve processes, build playbooks with best practices, have a keen attention to detail, and be driven to collaborate with others.
Role responsibilities
• Responsible for providing end-user assistance, identifying production issues and ensuring the
smooth operation of software applications and systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and monitor system performance
• Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and enhancements
• Identifying and reporting trends that lead to system malfunctions
• Provide insights into the system/software strengths and weaknesses.
• Staying up to date on current technology and software
Minimum qualifications

• Must be available to work noon – 8 pm cst Sunday – Thursday
• Proficient in Kafka and Mongo
• Proficent in Java with Spring
• Ability to read logs, query databases, and review code to triage issues
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or software engineering
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Ability to comfortably communicate with customers and colleagues at a variety of levels,
• Ability to work independently, provide solutions and set own priorities.
• Highly detailed-oriented
• Ability to synthesize data into insights
• Ability to solve problems independently
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a consulting organization, specifically tech consulting
