About This Role
As a Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will work closely with supply chain, operations, and engineering to ensure on-time supply for spacecraft builds. Responsibilities include setting up and monitoring the MRP system, tracking critical path, and improving supply chain processes as we expand our production capabilities. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role with the opportunity to influence Varda's supply chain and production systems.
This is a full-time, exempt position located in our El Segundo headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Own demand and fulfilment planning for Varda
- Set up and drive demand using the MRP system
- Identify and clearly communicate schedule blockers
- Monitor inventory levels and the health of open orders, proactively addressing any issues or delays.
- Establish and monitor key metrics to track supply chain performance
- Conduct clear-to-build meetings with production and engineering teams
- Ensure demand is up to date with the latest engineering and lead times changes
- Define, manage, and continuously improve workflows within the ERP system
- Occasionally support placing purchase orders, fulfilling kits, and moving inventory as needed
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in supply chain management
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Finance
- Experience translating engineering designs into demand and supply plans
- Extensive experience using MES/ERP software
- Strong relationship building skills, and the ability to interact and work effectively with many levels of personnel and suppliers
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. to conform with U.S. Government space technology export regulations under ITAR.
Pay Range
- Salary range: $90,000-125,000/per year.
- This role is on-site in El Segundo, CA
- Leveling and base salary is determined by job-related skills, education level, experience level, and job performance
