About This Role
The Facilities Senior Electrician is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work across the organization’s facilities. This position ensures compliance with safety standards, leads electrical projects, mentors junior electricians, and supports critical operations to maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of building systems, lighting, and equipment.

Install, test, and inspect electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.

Oversee electrical aspects of construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects.

Maintain and update electrical schematics, panels, and as-built documentation.

Supervise, train, and mentor junior electricians and maintenance staff.

Collaborate with Facilities leadership on preventive maintenance programs and capital projects.

Support emergency response and after-hours repairs as needed.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and internal safety protocols.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade certification required.

Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License (CA).

5+ years of progressive electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional settings.

Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA safety standards, and energy systems.

Proven experience leading projects and mentoring staff.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in facilities management, building automation, or energy efficiency systems.

Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Work Environment
-
100% onsite role; may involve climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and working at heights or in confined spaces.

Exposure to electrical hazards and mechanical systems; PPE required.

Ability to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends, as needed
Pay Range
- Hourly Salary range: $35.00 - $48.00/hour
- This role is on-site in El Segundo, CA
- Leveling and hourly salary is determined by job-related skills, education level, experience level, and job performance
