About This Role
As the Teamcenter Administrator, you will support the development of the systems that are requited to design, build, and manufacture our satellites and space born products. You will support the development and
deployment of enterprise PLM and CAD systems critical to engineering and production at Varda. This individual will lead feature development and implementation of Teamcenter PLM with associated business application, working closely with Structures Engineering, Payloads and Mechanisms, Terrestrial Hardware, Propulsion, and Integration and Test Teams.
This is a full-time, exempt position located in our El Segundo headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain a reliable, performant PLM platform (Teamcenter) to support mechanical design and engineering workflows.
- Develop, configure, and support integrations between Teamcenter, NX, and related business systems
- Anticipate tool and infrastructure needs, work with multiple organizations, and develop and implement processes, workflows and customizations to enable successful and rapid development.
- Capture user requirements and translate them into technical solutions, including workflows, business rules, and data models.
- Manage PLM tool customization and server-side development using Teamcenter APIs in a Government compliant, GCC-High, environment
- Support and troubleshoot issues related to CAD data management, change control, workflows, and user access.
- Collaborate with engineering, software, and IT teams to automate processes, improve data quality, and support scalability across systems.
- Build highly-resilient, high-performance, scalable, and flexible systems
- Provide training, documentation, and user support for Teamcenter and NX features.
- Drive scripting and automation to develop solutions to common problems and software integrations
- Implement best practices and controls for information security including customer data
- Handle special projects, taking full responsibility for the successful and timely completion of the project
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
- Multiple years of experience customizing PDM/PLM/CAD workflows and processes.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux servers, scripting (Batch, PowerShell, Bash), and system administration tasks.
- Understanding of network and infrastructure fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls).
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup or aerospace environment is highly desirable.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience administering and developing within PLM/PDM environments, particularly Teamcenter and NX.
- Proficiency with Teamcenter applications such as Workflow Designer, Structure Manager, Change Management, and Access Manager.
- Understanding of engineering data lifecycle, 3D modeling, Bill of Materials (BOM), and product configuration.
- Independently motivated with a demonstrated track record of delivering complex technical projects
- Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. to conform with U.S Government space technology export regulations under ITAR
Pay Range
- Salary Range: $121,000—$196,000 per year
- This role is on-site in El Segundo, CA
- Leveling and base salary is determined by job-related skills, education level, experience level, and job performance
- You will be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of stock options and/or long-term cash awards
- Offer compensation also includes the ability to purchase company stock through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
