Innovation Software Engineer

Job Description

Software Engineer, you will join us to accelerate the delivery of an ambitious roadmap of highly requested and revenue-generating features and ensure the highest standards of customer trust in our operations. This is an exciting opportunity to have high visibility and tackle technical challenges, giving opportunities to collaborate with various other roles and teams at PagerDuty as a client. The ideal candidate has strong Frontend experience working with React or other modern frontend frameworks and a backend language as a plus such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Elixir, Ruby, etc.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, coding, testing and shipping user interfaces and APIs to ensure we deliver secure, highly reliable and scalable products
  • Collaborating with Product Management to refine features and plan for their execution
  • Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to build solutions that solve customer problems, including crossing team or repository ownership boundaries where needed to get the job done
  • Participating in our team’s on-call rotation, triaging and addressing production issues as they arise

Requirements:
Front end:
•⁠ ⁠React , JavaScript & typescript.
•⁠ ⁠Nginx.
•⁠ ⁠Amplify.
•⁠ ⁠⁠Redux.
•⁠ ⁠⁠Css3 native.
•⁠ ⁠⁠CSS3 framework open source knowledge like Bootstrap or material design.
•⁠ ⁠Unit Testing knowledge.
•⁠ ⁠⁠integration testing knowledge.
•⁠ ⁠⁠Css3 native.
•⁠ ⁠⁠GitHub and ci/cd knowledge.
•⁠ ⁠⁠Knowledge of node libraries like react flow, data table, and date picker.
•⁠ ⁠⁠knowledge about design patterns applied to front-end designs and implementations.
•⁠ ⁠⁠knowledge about micro front ends and big architectures.
•⁠ ⁠⁠socket implementation knowledge with react and typescript.
Back end:

  • Python as a back-end language.
  • Nginx applied to microservices in Python.
  • ⁠Docker containers applied to microservices in Python.
  • Aws Ecs with microservices and Circle CI for CI / CD applied to microservices in Python.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL queries and Snowflake usage.
  • Knowledge about monitoring tools like datadog, AWS Cloud Watch, and sumologic.
  • ⁠Unit Testing knowledge.
  • integration testing knowledge.
  • GitHub and ci/cd knowledge.
  • ⁠⁠Knowledge of Pypi flask rest libraries.
  • knowledge about design patterns applied to back-end microservices designs and implementations.
  • knowledge about microservices vs monology applications.
  • socket implementation knowledge with Python.
