At this client, a Head of Engineering Transformations plays a crucial role in driving our innovative projects to success. This role will work directly with the CTO, supporting all IT-related matters, including IT Governance, transformational programs for Engineering, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive progress toward our ambitious goals. It involves close interaction with engineering leaders to follow their initiatives, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Head of Engineering Transformations will leverage their consulting expertise to guide digital transformation initiatives. They will develop and implement digital strategies that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency. With a strong understanding of industry best practices and methodologies, they will assess business processes, identify opportunities for digital transformation, and lead the organization through these initiatives.
What you’ll do:
- Work hand in hand with the CTO to drive transformational programs for Engineering, planning and strategy, across all IT areas.
- Contribute with the CTO on preparing executive-level presentations and content.
- Lead a team of Engineering leaders to achieve department and company goals including Agile and Quality Engineering.
- Support IT Governance by managing budget ensuring financial responsibility and transparency within Engineering.
- Conduct progress review meetings with project teams to address issues and maintain alignment, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
- Identify and assess potential project risks, develop mitigation plans to address identified risks and ensure project success.
- Proactively communicate risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders, maintaining open and honest communication.
- Conduct regular status meetings with key stakeholders to keep everyone informed and engaged.
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience in people management and project planning, preferably within an engineering or technology environment.
- Proven experience in consulting and digital transformation projects, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and methodologies.
- Experience in Agile, PMO/project management, IT governance, and Quality Engineering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong presentation and planning skills and previous experience in supporting high-level detailed presentations to senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Highly organized, focused on planning, deadlines, meetings, and follow-ups.
- Desirable experience with AI implementation in an Engineering organization with a proven track record to increase efficiency (non-exclusive).
- Advanced English is mandatory due to the role’s exposure.
