We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Incentive Compensation Analyst to support our sales and customer success incentive compensation programs. This role will be responsible for analyzing, managing, and optimizing incentive-based pay structures for customer-facing employees, including sales, customer success, services, and alliances teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of sales compensation principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective and equitable incentive compensation practices.

What You'll Do

  • Incentive Compensation Payouts: Manage and execute the ongoing payouts of incentive compensation payouts to all eligible payees, in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Compensation Analysis: Conducting external market research and internal analyses of compensation structures, including salaries, bonuses, and incentives, to ensure competitiveness, fairness, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Policy Development: Developing and implementing incentive compensation policies and procedures that adhere to legal requirements and industry best practices while supporting the organization's strategic objectives. Work with HR and Legal to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Data Management: Collecting, organizing, and maintaining data related to employee compensation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality, and utilizing data analysis tools to derive insights.
  • Compensation Planning: Assisting in the design and administration of annual and periodic incentive compensation programs, while considering budgetary constraints and business priorities.
  • Employee Education: Providing training and educational resources to managers and employees on compensation policies, procedures, and practices to foster understanding and transparency.

What You'll Bring

  • 2-5 years of experience in incentive compensation analysis or a related HR function.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, or similar).
  • Experience with sales compensation tools (especially Varicent) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of incentive compensation laws and best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Success Factors:

Within the first 1-3 months you will: 

  • Learn the job and how to do the core recurring tasks
  • Familiarize themselves with the rules of each comp plan and who’s on each plan
  • Learn how to use, maintain, and modify ICM
  • Identify automations to improve efficiency

Within 4-6 months you will: 

  • Fully own the compensation role
  • Plan and execute identified automations
