Talent Management & Development Associate

Vast is looking for a Talent Management & Development Associate, reporting to the Director of Talent Management & Development, to support the configuration of talent systems that will be required for the ongoing growth and performance of Vast employees.
This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
Learning Management System Administration:
- Collaborate with trainers and business stakeholders to understand business objectives and learning priorities.
- Create comprehensive and targeted learning materials, including e-learning modules, job aids, and multimedia content.
- Incorporate adult learning theories and interactive elements to enhance the learning experience.
- Ensure consistency and a positive user experience across various learning modules and programs.
- Partner with external vendors to understand system capabilities and configuration options, future platform release details and schedules, and troubleshoot where necessary.
- Run weekly system configuration and troubleshooting calls with external vendors.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Work closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to gather information, feedback, and insights aimed at continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of learning content to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data and communicate insights and conclusions.
- Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources and systems (Learning Management System, Performance System, HR Information System).
- Assist with statistical analysis of learning and performance data.
- Configure and automate reporting needs across the organization.
General Talent Management & Development:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Develop and execute project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Design training materials to assist in process understanding and execution.
- Utilize instructional design principles to ensure content is engaging, relevant, and meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Alongside the trainers, support the facilitation of training sessions when necessary, demonstrating a deep understanding of the content and its practical application.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience with data analysis, statistics, or reporting
- Interest in technology systems, applications, or databases.
- Interest in learning and development.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of and capabilities with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- General understanding of basic statistical concepts (descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, correlation, regression, sample size, etc.).
- Experience with any common Learning Management System (Tovuti, Cornerstone OnDemand, Skillsoft, TalentLMS, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to make independent decisions with limited information.
- Communication skills for relaying data (verbally and in-writing) between other employees and vendors.
- Logical and strategic approach to solving problems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction.
Pay Ranges:
- $60,000 - $80,000
