Senior Manager, Haven-1 Integration

Vast is looking for a(n) Sr. Manager, Haven-1 Integration, reporting to the Sr. Director of Integration, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
- Main integration leader for Haven-1. Responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with multiple engineering groups to ensure on-track and on time delivery of parts and subassemblies into vehicle integration.
- Work closely with leadership, engineers, and manufacturing within propulsion, thermal, structures, and avionics
- Lead the test campaign for Haven-1, taking it through vibration, EMI, and thermal vacuum testing
- Lead efforts in fast-paced issue dispositions, swiftly resolving any integration related issues that may arise
- Flex resources to unblock critical path deliveries
- Ensuring a smooth transition from engineering design to prototype vehicle build
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 5 Years of hands-on integration / build engineering experience in an aerospace environment
- Direct experience working cross functionally with engineering to ensure on-time delivery of subsystems into Integration & Test
- Experience working directly with design engineering, manufacturing, and production teams on space hardware
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Master of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing or equivalent
- Experience working in new-space manufacturing environment
- Experience working directly with design engineering, manufacturing, and production teams on space hardware
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
- Experience creating and maintaining Test and Integration plans and schedules
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones
- Ability to travel during testing campaigns
Pay Range:
- Senior Manager, Engineering: $160,000-$200,000
Salary Range: California
$160,000 - $200,000 USD
