Sr. Accountant EMEA

Responsibilities:

As a Sr. Accountant, you will be part of KRAFTON’s EMEA Finance Team in the Czech Republic. You will support our Finance operations for our new gaming studio in Prague, overseeing and performing a variety of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
2. Month-end and Year-end Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, performing reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
3. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, interpret variances, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
4. General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, maintain a chart of accounts, and ensure appropriate posting and classification of financial transactions.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with relevant members to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against projections and analyzing variances.
6. Fixed Assets and Depreciation: Manage fixed asset accounting, calculate depreciation, and maintain accurate records of fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and impairment.
7. Payroll and Benefits Accounting: Oversee payroll accounting, ensuring accurate recording of wages, benefits, and related payroll liabilities.
8. Financial System and Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
9. Supervision and Training: Provide guidance and support to members, conducting training sessions to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
2. Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, with some years of progressive accounting experience.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation laws.
4. Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems. SAP is preferred.
5. Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis and data manipulation.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data interpretation.
7. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
8. Strong communication skills in English and Czech languages.
