SMT Inventory Specialist

- Unload materials from delivery equipment, inspect for visible damage, and reject items if necessary. Record any shortages and coordinate with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Open boxes to verify the count of material against the packing list to identify any shortages and/or inaccuracies.
- Receive, unpack, and store materials in designated locations.
- Disperse received goods into central stock or production floor stock and place goods in bins as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of the SMT components, materials, and equipment.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
- Manage inventory stock levels within SMT Manufacturing and identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues.
- Monitor and track inventory control metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory and maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
- Implement and maintain organized locations for both central stock and production floor stock, including setting up new locations as needed.
- Replenish production floor inventory from central stock using FIFO inventory practices.
- Record incoming inventory using the Central Stock App.
- Perform 6S duties across the production floor.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school Graduate or GED
- AND three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in inventory management, material handling, or related fields.
- Standup / Sitdown Forklift operation experience is a plus.
