Mechanical Engineer I (Bilingual English/German)

Are you a hands-on problem-solver with a strong mechanical background and a passion for designing systems that meet real-world challenges? We’re looking for a bilingual Mechanical Engineer to join our Mason, OH, team and support technical efforts across design, manufacturing, testing, and implementation phases. This is a dynamic role where your contributions will directly support innovation and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read, create, and interpret blueprints, component specifications, bills of materials, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Answer technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members.
- Drive project deadlines by coordinating actions, reviewing open issues, and action items.
- Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, field service, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- May direct/lead designers and drafters on project teams.
- Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, regulatory and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Document engineering design by recording design features, functions, operational requirements, and warnings and maintaining design databases.
- Evaluates prototype components and assemblies.
- Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; determining effects of design with respect to various factors such as temperature, pressures, corrosion, vibration and radiation exposure; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
- Strong analytical foundation of various engineering disciplines such as mechanics, statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, vibration, and materials.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring a strong mechanical background and appreciable originality and ingenuity.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding job expectations.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in both English and German
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
