About the Role 

As an Engagement Manager, you will serve as the trusted advisor and day-to-day strategic partner for our customers. You will lead complex client engagements from strategy through implementation, ensuring organizations realize measurable business outcomes from the Vega Health Platform and other services and products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging cross-functional teams, guiding executive stakeholders through organizational change, and ensuring AI delivers exceptional value. 

This role will report to the Director of Products and Services and will be able to collaborate closely with functions across the organization, including Engineering, Product, and Marketing/ Communications. Additionally, this role will have the opportunity to regularly travel to client sites and be on the ground with our stakeholders.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead day-to-day AI implementation engagements across customer sites, providing the strategic and operational support needed to successfully deploy AI solutions, install/maintain the Vega Health Platform, and build long-term partnerships 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders by ensuring engagements deliver measurable outcomes while maintaining high customer satisfaction  
  • Continuously evaluate the value provided to customers for each contract, including improvements from baseline, impact, and outcomes  
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams by engaging internal technical, clinical, and operational experts, as needed  
  • Proactively identify, manage, and escalate implementation risks, working with internal functions to resolve issues before they impact timelines, customer outcomes, or partnership success 
  • Contribute to and continuously improve Vega Health's AI implementation methodologies, playbooks, and customer onboarding processes for new partners and new use cases 
  • Share lessons learned and customer perspectives, including new strategic priorities or use cases, with internal functions to strengthen product delivery, scalability, and the translation of the customer’s voice to actionable insights  
  • Collaborate with the Product function to deeply understand Vega Health’s portfolio of use cases, models, and solutions and successfully support customers  
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing Products, as well as inform novel product development in collaboration with the Product function 
  • Showcase the Marketplace and other use case implementations (i.e., from other customer sites), including organizing Innovation Showcases and Insights Discussions with original model developers  
  • Serve as the primary owner of contract renewals and expansions for health system customers, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to customer success 
  • Elevate customer priorites to the Director of Products and Services and CEO, including policy-related topics, opportunities to engage customers externally (e.g. conferences), and/or other areas of concern/opportunity  

What We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/health administration, public policy, economics, or related field; an MBA, MHA, or other relevant graduate degree is strongly preferred 
  • 2-5+ years of experience in healthcare, health tech, management consulting, or a related field, with demonstrated exposure to enterprise B2B environments and complex stakeholder landscapes 
  • Proven experience owning end-to-end customer implementations or engagements in a B2B or regulated environment, with a track record of delivering on time, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving measurable value 
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly assess incentive alignment within complex organizations and ability to build relationships, cultivate trust, and align stakeholders who are critical for project success 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the presence to engage effectively with clinical, technical, and operational leaders across health systems 
  • Analytical and storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative information into clear, compelling insights for executive, clinical, and operational audiences through PowerPoint decks, written executive reports, or other deliverables 
  • Excellent organization and logistical skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams across health system partner sites, meet deadlines for deliverables, and coordinate itineraries and agendas for client-facing engagements 
  • Contemporary knowledge of the healthcare AI landscape, including financial drivers of AI adoption, buyer dynamics, and the clinical and operational challenges driving AI adoption in health systems 

Annual Salary: 

$100,000 - 110,000 USD 

Work Location PolicyCurrently, we expect employees based in Durham to work from our office at least 3x a week. Employees who live outside of a 50-mile radius from our office may work remotely on a full-time basis with some travel to our office based on the needs of their function.
