The Role

VEIR is looking for a part-time Sr. Marketing Manager/Consultant to drive marketing strategy and execution across multiple channels to support client outreach, business development, and overall corporate branding.  This is a new role at VEIR and provides an exciting opportunity for someone to help shape and drive the company’s market positioning, strategic messaging, and brand voice. The ideal candidate for this role has experience in a B2B environment, ideally with a focus on positioning services to data centers, utilities, and/or other clients within the energy space.  

This is a part-time, hybrid opportunity with at least one day/week at VEIR’s headquarters in Woburn, MA, with the possibility of converting to a full-time permanent role. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead marketing strategy and execution for key company priorities, including client outreach campaigns and business development initiatives 
  • Provide strategic marketing guidance to the business to effectively position VEIR with diverse stakeholder groups including customers, investors, strategic partners, and prospective employees  
  • Develop a brand standard for the company, including the creation of company assets such as standard reports, proposals, and other templates.  
  • Collaborate with the Dir. Of Commercial Operations to support bid & proposals for the company.  
  • Liaise with VEIR’s external communications firm to project manage strategic PR, including press releases, thought leadership opportunities, and other content creation, by coordinating all approvals, timelines, and deliverables with the agency  
  • Create LinkedIn content for VEIR and its leaders to drive brand awareness and education about our products  
  • Curate and develop collateral including: brochures, one-pagers, proposal templates, slide decks, and other building blocks to drive consistent branding and messaging across all outreach efforts  
  • Lead conference event planning by identifying and developing impactful assets, collateral, and other takeaways/SWAG for staff attending conferences and tradeshows  
  • Partner with the People & Culture team on employer branding initiatives including maintaining the Careers page and developing staff spotlights to share on LinkedIn  
  • Develop and maintain marketing calendar that is aligned with key company goals  
  • Monitor marketing trends and recommend innovative approaches to improve organizational practices and performance 
  • Provide ad hoc support to VEIR’s executive team and other departments as needed 

To be successful in this role

  • You have 5+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, and/or communications in a B2B environment, ideally with experience with data centers, utilities, and/or other power transmission customers  
  • You have experience supporting Commercial, Sales, and Business Development teams in technical hardware manufacturing companies  
  • You know how to match vision with execution; you have experience thinking big as well as demonstrated success executing with strong attention to detail  
  • You have previous success in a startup environment and enjoy building new assets, collateral, and messaging and driving adoption with others  
  • You are driven by results - you gauge your success in measurable positive impact (not in how much you check off the to do list) and know how to ruthlessly prioritize  
  • You have a bias towards action and are not afraid to test unproven ideas to surface great outcomes 
  • You have excellent interpersonal communication skills across all levels of staff and with external stakeholders, and you excel at written communication with solid copywriting skills  
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and proven experience managing cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders  
  • You are highly competent with leveraging technical tools and platforms including Microsoft Office Suite (including SharePoint Online) and Adobe Creative Suite, and can effectively leverage AI  
  • You are passionate about VEIR’s mission of rapidly increasing electric transmission capacity to drive global growth and grid resilience
