The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Logistics Coordinator to own shipping, receiving, and inventory control across multiple internal locations. As our sole logistics specialist, you will ensure materials are received accurately, documented correctly, and available when needed—while building the process rigor we need for ISO9001 readiness. Operating across our facilities at 3 Gill Street and 45 Industrial Parkway, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, quality-driven environment and can balance day-to-day execution with continuous improvement. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Operations, and broader Supply Chain teams to keep materials flowing and our growing organization running smoothly. This is a 6-month contract engagement with a high likelihood of converting to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

In the first 3 months you'll

  • Learn VEIR’s receiving and inventory workflows, including dual-system documentation in Katana and Procurify, and establish a baseline understanding of current processes.
  • Take ownership of daily shipping and receiving operations across both sites—performing initial inspections, processing documentation, and ensuring timely dock-to-stock flow.
  • Execute regular cycle counts and begin reconciling discrepancies to establish a reliable inventory accuracy baseline.
  • Ensure all receiving areas at 3 Gill and 45 Industrial Parkway are clean, organized, labeled, and compliant with VEIR’s material handling standards.
  • Build working relationships with Manufacturing and Operations teammates to understand material flow needs and project timelines.
  • Confirm active Class 5 Forklift Certification and safely operate material handling equipment for palletized and heavy loads.

In the first 6 months you'll

  • Establish consistent, audit-ready documentation practices including packing slips, bills of lading, serial/lot tracking, and Certificates of Conformance where applicable.
  • Implement and maintain a quarantine and nonconforming material process, coordinating with suppliers and Quality on dispositioning.
  • Oversee receiving and inventory practices at partner and third-party locations, ensuring traceability and documentation controls are followed consistently.
  • Manage logistics for high-volume receiving windows during major project phases, including coordinating carrier pickups, tracking shipments, and resolving delivery issues.
  • Support initial ISO9001 readiness activities by performing additional receiving and quality checks and contributing to SOP development.
  • Identify and begin implementing improvements to receiving flow, inventory accuracy, and logistics efficiency—building the foundation for a mature, scalable logistics operation at VEIR.

To be successful in this role

You bring:

  • Class 5 Forklift Certification and demonstrated experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment to move heavy and palletized loads safely.
  • Hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling in a production, manufacturing, or lab environment.
  • Experience working in a regulated or quality-driven environment with strong documentation discipline and a deep attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with traceability requirements including serial/lot tracking, material holds, and Certificates of Conformance (CoCs).
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate logistics across multiple locations and with third-party or partner facilities.
  • Comfort with digital inventory management systems; experience with ERP or procurement tools such as Katana or Procurify is a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely in warehouse and production environments throughout the full workday.
  • Nice to have: direct experience with ISO9001-aligned inventory documentation, RMA/returns management, nonconforming material handling, or contributions to SOP and process improvement initiatives.

You are:

  • Highly organized and process-oriented—you bring structure to ambiguity and leave things better than you found them.
  • Detail-obsessed with documentation—you understand that in a quality environment, if it isn’t written down, it didn’t happen.
  • Collaborative and proactive—you build strong working relationships and communicate clearly with teammates across Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced startup environment—you can prioritize competing demands, solve problems independently, and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Energized by continuous improvement—you look for ways to tighten processes and increase efficiency, and you bring ideas forward with practical solutions.
  • Safety-minded—you uphold safe practices in the warehouse and production areas and hold yourself and others to high standards.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
