Job Summary

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Ventiva, you will report to the VP of Engineering and play a pivotal role in design, development, and optimization of the thermal management system for our revolutionary laptop cooling solution. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and overall quality of our product.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work with the engineering team developing the first Solid State Active Thermal Solution for laptops, ensuring optimal heat dissipation and performance.
  • Conduct analyses to optimize the design for various laptop configurations and usage scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create prototypes for testing and
  • Conduct rigorous testing to verify reliability and durability under various conditions.
  • Design mechanical parts and assemblies while analyzing material selection, manufacturability, assembly flow, and tolerance analysis.
  • Strong experience in master modeling, functional dimensioning, GD&T and FACA.
  • Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the system design, materials and components.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless production processes and
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to design specifications, testing procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a mechanical
  • 15 years or more of proven experience in designing and optimizing subsystem solutions for electronic components, preferably in the laptop market.
  • Hands on experience with the following: structured problem solving, design of experiments, root cause assessment, FMEA and statistical analysis (JMP and/or MiniTab).
  • Hands on experience with implementing new products or process into the high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with qualifying new materials or processes in the electronics
  • Experience with developing new materials or processes from concept into
  • Experience with SolidWorks, ProE, or other 3D modeling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
