Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

Venture Global is seeking a Senior Manager, Total Rewards to collaborate with senior leadership to lead the development and implementation of a Total Rewards Strategy supporting continued efforts to attract and retain best-in-class talent. The Senior Manager will report directly to the Director, Total Rewards and will be responsible for administration, compliance, and oversight of new project initiatives while directing the service delivery of the compensation and benefits teams. This role is based in Arlington, VA. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to and direct supervision of Total Rewards Team members through effective coaching and performance management.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop, communicate, and administer competitive global total rewards strategies, including compensation, benefits, retirement, engagement, and other work experience programs that are cost-effective and consistent with labor market trends and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of the compensation and benefits programs, including executive compensation, base salary, variable pay, and equity plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations related to compensation and benefits programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the total rewards programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage Venture Global LNG’s full-insured and self-funded health insurance plans including reporting relevant KPIs, forecasting and making recommendations to plan changes.
  • Lead the company’s annual open enrollment process.
  • Drive education and utilization of benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, STD, LTD, spending accounts, voluntary policies, COBRA and retirement plans.
  • Manage all benefit compliance activities including filing 5500s, discrimination testing, 401k audit and required annual filings.
  • Oversee, occupational and non-occupational leave of absence and job accommodation processes ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Lead Medical Claims and Investment committees with relevant stakeholders.
  • Audit and approve Payroll benefit deductions and required funding occurs g each pay period.
  • Drive key compliance initiatives regarding local, state, and federal requirements, including, leave laws, paid sick time, and auditing compliance of the company’s benefit programs (FMLA, ADA, ACA, COBRA, ERISA, EEO, etc.).
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of the annual compensation and benefits programs, including executive compensation, base salary, variable pay, and equity plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations related to compensation and benefits programs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with external partners.
  • Work closely with HR business partners and other stakeholders to ensure that total rewards programs are integrated into broader HR and business strategies.
  • Develop and deliver communications and training on total rewards programs to employees, managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the review, communication, and implementation of the annual benefit programs open enrollment process and the annual total compensation

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or other related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years compensation and benefit industry experience with at least 3 years of experience in a management role.
  • Workday experience is preferred.
  • Global benefits experience preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation and benefits best practices, trends, and regulations.
  • Experience managing executive compensation and equity plans.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and prioritize competing demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
