Senior Manager, Planning and Scheduling

General Description:

The Senior Manager, Planning and Scheduling is responsible for leading all planning, scheduling, and schedule control activities for a large‑scale LNG EPC project. This role serves as the primary scheduling authority for project leadership, ensuring alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, and startup activities to achieve critical milestones safely, efficiently, and on Time. This new position will be based in Point Celeste, LA (Plaquemines) and report to the Vice President, Planning and Scheduling.

The position requires deep LNG experience, advanced scheduling expertise, and proven leadership in integrating execution strategies such as Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), Workface Planning, and Short‑Interval Planning within complex construction environments.

This position will collaborate with Company leadership and project management to develop and maintain project execution plans and schedules while also providing leadership and oversight of planning & scheduling professionals assigned to the project. In addition, this position will implement robust planning & scheduling processes and procedures that will be able to be replicated across all scopes of work.  

The role will also require effective communication to Project and Executive Management for timely decision making and incorporation of stakeholder input. The role will be based at the project site in Point Celeste, LA with potential for travel to other project locations and contractor offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of contractor schedule integration management processes and procedures
  • Management of contractor schedule development within the Company database
  • Development and maintenance of internal company plans and schedules
  • Contribute to reviews of Contractor execution plans and schedules
  • Provide oversight and leadership to internal Planning and Scheduling team
  • Set up and maintain reporting and dashboard templates for consistent communication
  • Employ forensic schedule analysis to support Time Impact or other commercial claims analysis
  • Operate as administrator of Contractor integration into the Company Primavera database and maintain governance
  • Present and effectively communicate plan and schedule information internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain graphical summary depictions of execution plan
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of relevant planning and scheduling experience in major Oil & Gas engineering and construction projects using Primavera P6
  • Experience collaborating with EPCs, Pipelines and CAPEX is essential
  • Proficient in Deltek Acumen Fuse software and iConstruct
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio skills
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL or similar relational database management systems preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with strong critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic with ability to effectively prioritize, meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and business needs, and succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information
