Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. 

We are seeking for an OFE Engineering Technical Manager to join our team in Florence, with significant interface with the team located in United States including periodic travel in Europe and United States. He/She will work in the Projects organization which is responsible for the delivery and performances of the Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) to Venture Global facilities. OFE are key packages purchased at strategic partners (Original Equipment Manufacturers or Technology licensors) and directly managed by Venture Global.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with technical directors and discipline leaders of OFE partners and act as the Venture Global main technical entry point.
  • Oversee the deployment of OFE technical resources and regularly review with OFE technical directors the expected workload, skills and capabilities.
  • Coordinate the Venture Global engineering team assigned to OFE project to provide technical assurance for all aspects of engineering, procurement, and quality activities performed by OFE partners.
  • Collaborate with Venture Global interface manager and drive OFE teams to the resolution of technical queries related to the interface with other Venture Global partners involved in the projects (i.e. EPC).
  • Drive Venture Global engineering team in the participation in key project milestones, including 30%, 60%, and 90% model reviews and Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs). 
  • Facilitate and drive closure of PHA cycle of the OFE project and facilitate the fulfillment of Venture Global regulatory needs by OFE partners.
  • Facilitate lesson learned sessions with OFE partners in collaboration with key stakeholders within Venture Global. 
  • Apply best industry project management practices to OFE projects, deploying effective and sustainable methodologies for scheduling, cost and risk management of the technical scope.
  • Collaborate and involve internal Subject Matter Experts based on project’s needs, and act as one of the OFE technology gatekeepers inside Venture Global organization.
  • Partner with Venture Global OFE project managers and lead and actively manage the OFE scope of work either in contractual definition and project execution phase.
  • Follow up the OFE scope after the equipment delivery and manage the technical support to be provided by OFE partners for installation, commissioning, start up and performance test activities of the relevant packages at site.
  • Influence decisions that improve reliability and operability of OFE systems, reduce operating costs, and create a sustainable competitive advantage. 
  • Understand industry standards, applicable regulatory codes and requirements, and company standards and be accountable for fulfillment of regulatory’s requirement by OFE design teams.
  • Support Company-wide initiatives , including Change Management processes, Value Improvement Practices, Bid Evaluations, Process and Implementation studies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of twelve years combined experience in Design, Commissioning, or Operations in Gas processing or Cryogenic Industry, with strong knowledge of at least one engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of five years multi-discipline engineering management experience
  • Five–fiftheen years of experience in LNG liquefaction facilities highly preferred
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work within project deadlines, and adjust as priorities changes occur.
  • Cultural openness to interact with many different and diverse organizations across the globe.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret engineer drawings to include P&IDs, PFDs, C&Es, One Line Diagrams, Isometrics, and Civil/Structural drawings
  • Broad knowledge of Codes, Standards, and Industry Best Practices
  • PMI, IPMA or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Have advanced computer experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, PowerPoint, and Excel
