Candidates must bring domain experience in fields related to VentureWell program areas, such as climate tech, blue economy, energy, entrepreneurship, startup acceleration or incubation, or as a startup founder. Background and experience in commercializing ocean solutions is preferred (e.g., blue economy sectors including coastal management, marine carbon, aquaculture, shipping and ports, hydropower, marine energy, etc.).

SPO: The ideal candidate for this role has experience running programs for early-stage entrepreneurs and has lived experience as an innovator, entrepreneur, or early-stage investor. The person in this role will take a programmatic leadership position in our suite of accelerator programs serving science and technology startup founders. This person joins our Ventures Program team and will spend a high proportion of time on our Ocean Enterprise Accelerator and other climate-related accelerator programs, with about 25% travel as global public health guidelines allow.

  • Provide commercialization support to science and technology startup founders including but not limited to providing guidance on customer economic use cases, financial projections and milestone planning, product readiness, customer discovery coaching, fundraising strategy development, etc.
  • Contribute expertise to the program area and leverage domain knowledge to develop content and case studies for content marketing or lessons. Synthesize lessons learned into program design evolution and provide thought leadership across the Program team.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
