At Veo, we are on a mission to end car dependency by making clean transportation accessible to all and advancing the next generation of fully electric micromobility systems. Our fleets are constantly evolving and feature a range of vehicles - from pedal and electric bicycles, to standing and seated e-scooters, e-cargo bikes, and ADA accessible devices. We design and build our own vehicles, hardware, and software systems in house and run all our local operations to provide safe, efficient, and responsive mobility services that make communities more sustainable and livable.  We are looking for exceptionally talented individuals who are ready to develop and implement new solutions to these exciting challenges. 

Job Summary

As Veo’s Product Lead, you will be responsible for delivering the best possible experience to our customers by analyzing user insights, creating product roadmaps, ensuring development execution, and measuring business impacts. You will leverage your unique blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic vision in both the software and hardware realms to solve complex problems. You will initially focus on driving the strategy and execution for our software products. When successful, we plan to expand the role to include oversight of our hardware products, ensuring a cohesive vision and alignment across our entire product portfolio. You will help shape the future of urban mobility by delivering high-quality, innovative solutions and enhancing the software platforms that power our products. 

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Insights: Analyze customer insights, trends, surveys, and key performance metrics to identify pain points, sources of friction, and potential business opportunities.
  • Roadmap Planning: Define, prioritize, and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring it reflects market trends, customer feedback, and business goals. 
  • Ensuring Execution: Work closely with engineers, and designers. Be hands-on, and drive end-to-end product implementations efficiently, achieving key milestones and deadlines. Make sure product development goes exactly as planned. 
  • Measuring Impacts: Define and track key metrics to measure product success. Identify the root cause if metrics are not reaching the target and come up with solutions to rectify. Present the product performance to the stakeholders. 
  • Product Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that supports the company's business goals. Identify and assess new opportunities for product innovation and expansion.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Led cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, from concept to release, ensuring timely delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7+ years of software product management experience, ideally in the transportation, consumer tech, or B2C consumer industries. Has experience building products on App/Play stores. 
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, operations and marketing, to deliver successful software products.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of software development and agile methodologies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends, user needs, and competitive landscapes to inform product decisions.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering products on time and within budget.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Flexibility: Must be adaptable and willing to participate in late-night meetings to effectively collaborate with international teams across different time zones.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical proficiency or background, with the ability to work closely with engineering teams.
  • Hybrid Role: Must currently reside or be relocatable to a commutable distance from our Santa Monica Headquarters. The role will require 3 days a week, at minimum, in office. 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive Compensation Package that consists of a base salary range of $150,000 - $180,000 + Annual Performance Bonus + Equity (Stock Options) + Full Range of Benefits. 
    • Veo is a total compensation company, and pay is determined by geographic cost of labor and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training - so not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. 
    • Our total compensation package for this role, including bonus potential, ranges from $150,000 - $183,000
