Job Description

As an AI/ML Engineer at Verantos, you will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying advanced machine learning models and workflows to drive high-accuracy RWE generation. You will focus on developing and fine-tuning state-of-the-art deep learning models, working with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI systems, and implementing agentic workflows for real-world data integration and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced machine learning models, including large language models (LLMs), and generative AI systems.
• Fine-tune pre-trained models to meet specific use cases, ensuring high performance and precision.
• Develop and optimize machine learning workflows, including data preprocessing, model training and evaluation, and monitoring.
• Leverage expertise in Python to build robust and scalable AI pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to align AI initiatives with clinical and business objectives.
• Stay updated on cutting-edge advancements in generative AI, deep learning, and related technologies to enhance Verantos' AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• 4+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with expertise in designing and deploying advanced models in production.
• Hands-on experience with fine-tuning deep learning models and working with large datasets.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and associated AI/ML services (e.g., Sagemaker, Vertex AI).
• Proficiency in working with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools is a plus (e.g., MLFlow, Kubeflow).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
