About the Role:
Vercel is seeking a Revenue Manager to join our growing accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting, this role will lead projects that will streamline close procedures and automate the Order to Cash process, including the integration of the billing and revenue systems. The Revenue Manager will also perform data analysis that will enable stakeholders to gain deeper insights into our revenue streams, identify growth opportunities, and make more informed decisions. Additionally, this role will own initiatives to strengthen our financial operations as we scale from a late-stage startup to a company prepared to one day become a public company.
What You Will Do:
- Own and maintain revenue recognition policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with ASC 606.
- Identify and implement improvements to automate and scale the Order to Cash process, creating best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Assess revenue implications for new product launches, including revenue recognition policy, and system and process alignment.
- Perform data analysis that will enable stakeholders to gain deeper insights into our revenue streams and margins
- Drive system enhancements through collaboration with the Financial Transformation team and other key stakeholders.
- Provide support during audits. Ensure that all accounting practices comply with internal controls and external regulations.
- Collaborate with other FP&A, Data, and other cross functional partners to analyze financial data, ensuring proper recognition of revenue.
- Lead revenue projects and process improvement initiatives as they arise.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of revenue accounting experience, including at least 3 years at a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Deal review and operational accounting experience, including system implementation and configuration, in a SaaS or Consumption-Based company.
- Expert in analyzing large sets of data to drive decision making.
- Strong knowledge of SQL is a plus!
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus!
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about learning and adaptable to a high paced, fast-growing company.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $160,000-$192,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location, and the total package includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
