Hybrid - San Francisco, New York City, Austin

About Vercel:

Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.

Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.

About the role

As a Workday Integrations Developer, you'll build and integrate Vercel-powered People tools and own our core Workday integrations, replacing legacy busywork with a modern, headless HR tech stack. You'll partner with People, Finance, IT, and Engineering stakeholders, building real functional fluency in People Operations so you understand not just how data moves between systems, but why it needs to move that way. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, New York City, or Austin, with three days a week in the office.

What you'll do

  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors/Cloud Connect, Workday Studio, APIs) that support key People Operations and Finance workflows
  • Build and integrate Vercel-powered internal People tools as part of a push toward a headless HR tech stack
  • Partner with People Operations, Finance, IT, and Engineering stakeholders to translate process requirements into reliable, well-documented integration solutions
  • Develop working knowledge of core People Operations processes, including hire-to-retire, compensation, benefits, and org management, to inform integration and system design decisions
  • Monitor integration health, troubleshoot failures, and maintain documentation of integration logic and field mappings, and contribute to testing, security, and change-management practices as the system scales

What you need

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors/Cloud Connect, Workday Studio, and/or APIs
  • Working knowledge of XML/XSLT, calculated fields, and the Workday Business Process Framework
  • Experience with generative AI and agentic coding platforms
  • Comfortable owning discrete integration projects independently, with guidance from senior team members on complex or ambiguous problems

Bonus if you

  • Have exposure to Workday security configuration
  • Have experience using Workday Extend to build applications
  • Have contributed to internal tools or platform engineering work beyond a core HRIS

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package, including equity.
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.
  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
  • Flexible Time Off.
  • We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $160,000 - $195,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
