IT/OT Automation/Network Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
  • Familiarity with the CI/CD process and the use of git version control system
  • Testing and deploying programs and applications
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
  • Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
  • Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
  • Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
  • Solid grasp of relational database concepts and best practices using SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, and Oracle: designing tables and relationships, strategic primary/foreign key utilization, advanced queries joining many tables, stored procedures, etc.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience maintaining with Firewalls, Distribution Switches, Load Balancers, Copper and Fiber SFPs
  • Maintaining, Installing, and Configuring computer network equipment including network switches, routers, firewalls, cabling, and other physical hardware
  • Create and maintain firewall rules, VLANs, VPNs and security systems to keep communications protected and secure
  • Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for all systems
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to other employees and management
  • Implement business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
  • Proven technical documentation/report writing skills using excellent concise grammar and logic for authoring, reviewing, editing documents related to equipment, facility, and/or computer validation (URS, FAT, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ)
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, HMIs, VFD Drives, Remote I/O and SCADA systems
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining Firewalls, Distribution Switches, and Industrial Gateways/Switches including cabling and SFPs
  • Monitor industrial computer systems to improve network performance for all systems
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to other employees and management
  • Implement business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
  • Proven technical documentation/report writing skills using excellent concise grammar and logic for authoring, reviewing, editing documents related to equipment, facility, and/or computer validation (URS, FAT, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ)

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
  • Experience working with SAP and SAP APIs
  • Experience with C++ and C#.NET
  • Strong problem-solving experience and understanding of good Software Development principles/practices
  • Certification preferred in CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/CCST/CCCA/CCIE
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, HMIs, VFD Drives, Remote I/O and SCADA systems
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Firewalls, Distribution Switches, and Industrial Gateways/Switches including cabling and SFPs
  • Strong problem-solving experience and understanding of good Network Engineering principles/practices
  • Proven attention to detail and organization in project work
  • Capable of working on assigned tasks without supervision
  • Communicating complex, technical concepts in simple, concise oral conversation and written documentation
  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
  • Exposure to FDA regulated environments including validation experience
  • Proficiency using PC and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Onsite requirement in Newark, DE

The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
