QA Manager Responsibilities:
The Quality Manager role provides strategic and tactical leadership for site quality and compliance programs, focusing on continuous improvement and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating systems and processes against current GMP, compliance, and quality standards, as well as influencing stakeholders to implement improvements. The role supports inspections by external customers, internal assessors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring effective preparation, management, and follow-up.
The position also offers validation and data integrity expertise for GMP IT/Computer Systems, laboratory, and manufacturing equipment, helping maintain compliance with local/global regulations and client policies. You will oversee core Quality Systems such as Complaints, Deviations, CAPA, Change Control, Supplier Quality, and Internal Audits, and manage updates and maintenance of related documentation. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams—locally, regionally, and globally—is essential to drive compliance excellence and foster a culture of quality across the site.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical field
- Several years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Compliance, preferably within pharma or related industries
- Strong knowledge of global regulatory, cGMP, and industry best practices
- Background in validation, data integrity, and GMP computer systems
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skill
- Onsite requirement in Durham, NC

The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
