Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our finance team at Veritas Veterinary Partners, a leading provider of emergency and multi-specialty healthcare services. Veritas has 14 locations nationwide serving over 100,000 pets annually. Veritas is physician owned and backed by Percheron Capital, a leading private equity firm focused on essential services businesses. The management team of Veritas includes DVMs and leaders from publicly traded companies like DaVita Healthcare and leading private equity and consulting firms like Blackstone and Bain.
The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes across our network of hospitals. This position requires a strong understanding of operations, excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to provide actionable insights to optimize performance and ensure fiscal sustainability. This position will report to the Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
- Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts for individual facilities and the hospital chain as a whole.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, cost per procedure, and operational expenses, identifying trends and variances.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for new equipment purchases, service expansions, or staffing changes in emergency and specialty departments.
- Collaborate with department heads to evaluate financial impacts of clinical programs and operational initiatives.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Maintain and update financial models to reflect changes in the business.
- Participate in due diligence and financial modeling for mergers and acquisitions.
- Prepare presentations for Board of Directors and senior management team.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in audits and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare financial guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Up to 2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in retail or restaurants.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar software).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
