About PESCM: PESCM, located in San Rafael, is the only 24/7 veterinary hospital in Marin County, with specialties in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Urgent Care, Emergency, Radiology, and Critical Care. Our mission is to serve pets and people by continually pushing to improve our medicine, our service, our communication, and ourselves.
Why PESCM: We are not your typical veterinary hospital. PESCM is run by managers who have been with the hospital for a decade or more, all promoted from within. We are former nurses and client service staff who understand what employees need, because we’ve been there ourselves: predictable schedules, regular time off, competitive pay, generous benefits, and a nurturing yet professional environment that fosters your growth and success. We know the winning recipe is making a space for you to do good work and be part of the special kind of team unique to veterinary medicine, where the only way to combat compassion fatigue is to take care of each another.
About the position: You will work closely with the Radiologist to deliver excellent care to all our patients and perform duties pursuant to PESCM Technician Protocols. You will embody our culture by treating every client with courtesy and respect, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets. Your main role will be to run anesthesia solely for CT, MRI, ultrasound and radiography. We have separate technicians that will be running the diagnostic imaging equipment along with recovery of the animals afterwards in either our ICU or primary care ward. However, one of the goals of this role is to train you to fully operate our CT machine as well.
What you will bring
- Experience working as registered technician anesthetist. ASA Levels 1-3 preferred. A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work life
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
- Ability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in the technician protocols
- Demonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks / projects

Salary: $28.00 - $33.00 / hour, dependent on experience
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00am - 6:30pm
