University Liaison – Veterinary Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture relationships with veterinary school leadership, including Directors of Student Affairs and House Officer programs.
  • Coach and mentor residents on contract negotiation, emphasizing the "why" behind their decisions.
  • Expand the pipeline of candidates for Veritas programs and opportunities.
  • Serve as brand ambassadors for Veritas within the academic and veterinary communities.
  • Lead university outreach efforts by designing and executing strategic initiatives that connect students, interns, and residents with Veritas hospitals.
  • Recruit, manage, and support Student Ambassadors at U.S. and accredited international veterinary schools to promote externships, summer programs, post-graduate training, and Veritas hosted events.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies for on-campus recruiting and student engagement.
  • Deliver educational and promotional presentations at campus events, career fairs, and student meetings.
  • Interview students, interns, and residents interested in emergency and specialty training, externships, internships, or employment with Veritas.
  • Develop recruitment materials showcasing Veritas hospitals and career paths.
  • Plan and manage on-campus recruitment events, including budgeting, logistics, guest coordination, and follow-up.
  • Partner with Veritas leadership and Talent Acquisition to report on outreach efforts, share insights, and continuously improve strategies.
  • Represent Veritas at key veterinary conferences (e.g., IVECCS, ACVIM), assisting with booth management and candidate engagement.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of student and resident interactions to evaluate outreach effectiveness.
  • Create content for Veritas websites and social media to promote recruiting events and initiatives.




Qualifications:  
• Strong interpersonal, written, and public speaking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel; familiarity with Adobe and CRM platforms is a plus
• Willingness to travel frequently (especially during peak recruiting seasons)
• Knowledge of veterinary industry trends, including corporate landscape and training pathways
• Experience in marketing, recruiting, or academic liaison roles is a plus
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
