Overview 

Veritas Veterinary Partners, a leading and growing network of specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals, seeks a dynamic Employee Relations Specialist to support our operations with truth and trust. Built on a commitment to exceptional care and fostering opportunity for veterinary professionals, this role will collaborate closely with hospital leadership to promote a values-driven culture, resolve teammate concerns, and strengthen engagement across our national network. The specialist will play a key role in aligning teammate experience with Veritas’s vision to deliver the highest standard of veterinary care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted resource for teammates, addressing concerns and facilitating resolution in a timely and empathetic manner.
  • Conduct intake conversations, document issues, and escalate complex matters to HR leadership or legal as appropriate.
  • Support investigations into workplace complaints, including harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation in alignment with company policies and legal standards.
  • Partner with hospital directors and medical directors to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training on workplace conduct, communication, and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor teammate relations trends and provide insights to improve engagement, retention, and culture.
  • Participate in exit interviews, pulse checks, and feedback loops to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of teammate relations policies and best practices across the organization.

    Organizational Awareness – Understanding of multi-site operations and the dynamics of veterinary hospital environments.
    Training & Facilitation – Experience delivering workshops or coaching sessions on workplace behavior and culture.
    Adaptability – Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
    HR Systems Proficiency – Familiarity with case management tools, HRIS platforms, and documentation protocols. 


Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in employee relations, HR, or conflict resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of empathy and discretion.
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in healthcare, veterinary, or multi-site environments is a plus.

Schedule -  20 hours a week. Specific hours based on location.  Needs to be available for our east coast and west coast region. 

Salary - $30.00 to $40.00 an hour, based on experience

Benefits -  Part time employees are not eligible for benefits

 

Base Pay

$30 - $40 USD
