Position Summary
Veritas Veterinary Partners seeks a proactive Talent Acquisition Specialist to attract and hire exceptional veterinary professionals with truth and trust. This strategic recruiting role focuses on full-cycle talent acquisition for Specialty Veterinarians. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, this specialist will develop targeted sourcing strategies, build talent pipelines, and deliver an outstanding candidate experience that reflects our commitment to veterinary excellence.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a trusted partner to hospital leadership, combining recruitment expertise with an understanding of veterinary medicine to identify candidates who will thrive in our culture and advance patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle recruitment for Specialty Veterinarians (DVMs), including Diplomates, Residents, House Officers, and Interns across multiple Partner Hospitals in five states.
- Partner with Hospital Directors, Medical Directors, and hiring managers to understand position requirements, hospital culture, and ideal candidate profiles.
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, veterinary job boards, professional associations, veterinary schools, and passive candidate outreach to build robust talent pipelines.
- Screen candidates through structured interviews and assessments, evaluating clinical qualifications, cultural impact, and alignment with Veritas Veterinary Partners values.
- Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process, providing timely communication, interview preparation, and exceptional candidate experience.
- Coordinate interview processes including scheduling, feedback collection, and hiring decision support, ensuring an efficient and professional candidate journey.
- Utilize Greenhouse effectively to maintain accurate candidate records, track recruiting metrics, and ensure compliance with employment regulations across all states.
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience preferred.
- Experience recruiting DVM Specialists (Diplomates), Residents, House Officers required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, healthcare, veterinary medicine, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and hiring for hard-to-fill professional positions in competitive talent markets, with a track record of meeting or exceeding hiring targets.
- Strong understanding of recruiting best practices, employment regulations, and candidate relationship management in multi-state environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
Advantages
- Experience recruiting veterinarians, veterinary technicians, or other healthcare professionals (nurses, physicians, medical technicians) in veterinary, human medicine, or dental practice settings.
- Background in hospitality or service industries with experience attracting customer-facing professionals in distributed multi-unit organizations.
- Familiarity with veterinary professional organizations (AVMA, NAVTA, state VMA associations), veterinary school career services, or veterinary technician programs.

Salary
Base salary plus bonus. Commensurate with experience.
Working Conditions
Remote position working from a home office. Travel 5–10% for Partner Hospital visits, veterinary conferences, and career fairs. Standard business hours with flexibility to accommodate time zones, candidate availability, and urgent hiring needs.
