PESCM, located in San Rafael, is the only 24/7 veterinary hospital in Marin County, offering specialty services in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Urgent Care, Emergency, Radiology, and Critical Care.

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Veterinary Laboratory Technician to support our clinical team through accurate laboratory testing, specimen processing, and quality control. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced veterinary environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Process laboratory samples and accurately enter results into the hospital information system.
- Prepare and submit specimens to outside reference and specialty laboratories.
- Perform routine quality control testing and maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory records, including temperature, shipping, and quality control logs.
- Receive, organize, and restock laboratory supplies.
- Communicate laboratory results and updates to veterinarians and support staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
- Support timely diagnostics and high-quality patient care through accurate laboratory procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary, medical, or laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Experience with veterinary laboratory equipment and diagnostic testing is a plus.
Schedule
Choose from one of the following full-time schedules:
- Monday through Thursday, 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
- Friday through Monday, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM
Compensation
- $24.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience
- $3.00 per hour weekend differential
