A&E Business Development Manager, NYC
Who We Are
- Build strong relationships with:
- Commercial Real Estate Firms: Work alongside the sales team to position Verkada as the preferred security solution for upcoming projects.
- A&E Consultants: Work closely with consultants to get Verkada specified into projects.
- General Contractors (GCs): Encourage GCs to propose Verkada solutions where specs are open or alternative solutions can be introduced.
- Large Electrical & Low-Voltage Contractors: Partner to drive proposal and project delivery.
- Collaborate with the NYC Sales Team and the A&E Program team on pipeline development and project pursuit.
- Coordinate with Channel teams and local partners to support proposal and bidding efforts.
- Work with internal stakeholders to track NYC market metrics and pipeline progress.
- Maintain detailed records of engagement, opportunity generation, and specifications.
- Strong relationships with NYC-based commercial real estate firms, A&E consultants, GCs and subcontractors.
- Experience selling technology, hardware, or equipment into major projects in NYC.
- Ability to influence design and spec decisions during preconstruction and bidding stages.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven track record of pipeline development and driving complex sales cycles.
- Q2: Stakeholder engagement, meetings, presentations, and net-new qualified opportunity generation.
- Q3: Pipeline generation and specification attainment.
- Q4: Conversion of specifications into bookings, partnering with sales teams to close deals.
- This role reports to Dan Bettencourt and works closely with the NYC Sales team in our NYC office and the A&E team.

Annual Pay Range
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$150,000 - $200,000 USD
