Growth Engineer
Who We Are
About the Role
Our Growth Marketing team prides itself on using a first principles approach to unlock new ways of scaling revenue. Using operations and engineering to overcome obstacles and scale/automate processes, we experiment where most marketing teams fall short. As a Growth Engineer with our Marketing Operations division, you will develop innovative automations and technical solutions that will allow our Marketing team unlock new revenue using new channels.
We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our HQ in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week.
What You’ll Do
- Growth Systems & Operations
-
- Serve as the technical backbone for our growth team, enabling engineers, analysts, and marketers to rapidly test, iterate, and scale growth initiatives.
- Own and optimize lead ingestion, user lifecycle tracking, enrichment, and routing, ensuring the right signals reach the right teams for real-time decision-making.
- Build scalable infrastructure for growth experimentation, adoption of tools, and automated workflows across the organization.
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and marketing to implement new technical solutions.
- Experimentation & Enablement
-
- Translate growth hypotheses and campaign requirements into robust, automated systems workflows, reducing manual steps and operational friction.
- Design and maintain tools and pipelines to support experimentation, attribution, and real-time insights across channels.
- Act as the go-to expert for internal growth systems and integrations, supporting setup, data flows, APIs, and cross-platform integrations.
- Technical Ownership
-
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines and real-time data systems that support growth logic, attribution, and analytics using SQL, Python, and modern engineering tools.
- Develop scalable automations and integrations across internal dashboards, CRM, engagement platforms, and APIs (e.g., Retool, Workato, AWS Lambda).
- Implement complex workflows for events, webinars, product launches, and intent-triggered experiments.
- Monitor user flows, funnels, and key metrics using BI and analytics tools (e.g., Looker) to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.
What You Bring
-
- 5+ years in Software Engineering, Growth Engineering, Product Analytics, or Revenue Operations, ideally in a high-growth B2B SaaS or tech environment.
- Hands-on experience with growth tech stacks, CRMs, and user data platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, internal dashboards), including building automations and integrations.
- Expertise in ingestion, enrichment, lifecycle flows, and real-time logic for user signals and growth experiments.
- Advanced SQL skills and working knowledge of Python or similar languages; experience building or maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Strong experience with automation/integration platforms (e.g., Workato, Zapier, Retool, AWS Lambda).
- Process-oriented with experience scaling systems for experimentation and growth.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills. You can translate complex workflows to technical and non-technical partners alike.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to experiment, iterate, and extract maximum yield from the funnel.
- Proactive problem-solver with a “0 Inbox” mentality: you anticipate and fix bottlenecks before they become blockers.
