About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Manager, People Operations – Global Mobility, Immigration, and Leave Programs to join our growing People team. This is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for building and scaling programs that enable our global workforce to move, work, and thrive across borders.
You will play a critical role in supporting international expansion, enabling global talent mobility, and ensuring operational excellence and compliance across multiple countries. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance strategy, employee experience, operational rigor, and risk management in a fast-scaling environment. You will help shape how we support employees through key moments in their careers and lives — from relocation and immigration sponsorship to parental, medical, and statutory leave programs.

What You'll Do
Leave of Absence (LOA) & Accommodations
- Lead and continuously improve leave of absence programs globally, including parental leave, medical leave, disability accommodations, and statutory leave programs.
- Oversee complex and sensitive leave and accommodations cases, ensuring a consistent, empathetic, and compliant employee experience.
- Partner with Legal, Benefits, Payroll, and external vendors to manage leave administration and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Drive scalable processes and manager enablement around leave management, return-to-work planning, and workplace accommodations.
Global Mobility & Immigration
- Lead and scale global mobility and immigration programs that support international hiring, employee relocation, and cross-border talent movement.
- Oversee U.S. and global immigration programs, including visa sponsorship, work authorization strategy, international transfers, and vendor management.
- Advise leaders, managers, and employees on immigration, relocation, and mobility-related matters with a strong focus on employee experience and risk mitigation.
General Operations & Program Leadership
- Build scalable operational processes, policies, and documentation that improve efficiency, consistency, and employee experience across programs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to People Partners, managers, and business leaders on complex employee and operational matters.
- Analyze program metrics and operational data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in People Operations, Global Mobility, Immigration, HR Operations, or related functions within high-growth and global organizations.
- Deep expertise managing U.S. and global immigration programs, international mobility, and cross-border employee support.
- Strong experience managing leave of absence (LOA) programs and/or supporting the interactive accommodations process.
- Strong understanding of employment compliance, immigration regulations, leave laws, and operational risk management in fast-scaling environments.
- Proven ability to build scalable programs and operational processes that balance employee experience, business needs, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional partnership skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent judgment and ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism, discretion, and empathy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Self-starter with a high degree of ownership, attention to detail, and ability to execute effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required.

Annual Pay Range
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
Estimated Annual Pay Range
$175,000 - $220,000 USD
