Growth Marketing Manager, Upper Funnel

San Mateo, CA United States

Who We Are

Verkada is transforming how organizations protect their people and places with an integrated, privacy-sensitive AI-powered platform that includes solutions for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management.

We’ve got serious momentum in the market: more than 30,000 customers (including 100+ of the Fortune 500), a $5.8B valuation, more than $1 billion in annualized bookings, and backing from CapitalG, Sequoia Capital, General Catalyst, Felicis Ventures, Next47 and more. Physical AI is one of the most consequential technology shifts of our time, and Verkada is at the center of it.

You can look at all kinds of communities to see our platform’s impact in the world. It's the retailer that uses our agentic AI to deter theft before it happens. The warehouse that uses AI-powered alerts to make sure its team is protected on the floor with proper PPE. The school that’s alerted to a threat in real-time and triggers a lockdown in seconds, not minutes. We’re rapidly scaling this impact: today, more than 2 million Verkada devices are deployed across 170+ countries.

About the Role

At Verkada, we're known to push traditional boundaries, and our B2B growth efforts are no exception. We’re reinventing Growth here. As a Growth Marketing Manager: Upper Funnel, you’ll be part of a high-performing team with backgrounds spanning investment banking, consulting, marketing, and high-growth startups.

In this role, you’ll own Verkada’s top-of-funnel campaigns and how we measure them. You’ll answer three questions again and again: What should we run? Who should we run it to? And what did we learn, so we can do it again? You’ll test channels most B2B companies never try, from CTV to audio to billboards, and build the measurement to prove what works. This is a highly visible, high-autonomy role that offers the opportunity to directly shape how the market sees Verkada.

We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our HQ in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week (with flexible hours).

What You’ll Do

  • Creative & Story: Decide what we run. Think critically about ads, messages, and formats, and what works best on each platform. Partner with our creative team to turn Verkada’s story into campaigns that people remember.
  • Audience Strategy: Decide who is worth spending money on. Build ICP and account-list targeting, and choose the right channel mix to reach them.
  • Channel & Vendor Testing: Continuously test new channels, inventory, and vendors across CTV, YouTube, LinkedIn, audio, and out-of-home to find the best targeting at the best cost.
  • Measurement & Incrementality: Design and read geo-lift tests, holdouts, and conversion lift studies. Devise ways to measure impact from channels that are hard to attribute, like billboards and audio. Own key metrics like website visitors.
  • Budget Ownership: Make real spend decisions and move budget toward what works, based on evidence.
  • Learning Loop & Insights: Keep a clear record of what we tested and what we learned. Turn results into the next plan and share insights with leadership and across teams.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, paid media, marketing science, a startup or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience buying media, and the confidence to make decisions about spending real money.
  • A clear answer to the question, “How did you know it worked?” You have designed and read at least one incrementality test yourself, such as a geo-lift, matched-market, or holdout test.
  • A strong point of view on creative and story: you can explain why a campaign was good, what helped it, and what hurt it.
  • Proficiency in data analysis. Knowledge of SQL and Excel preferred.
  • Experience with CTV, out-of-home, audio, or account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns is a plus.
