Position Overview

Verra Mobility is seeking a Senior Software Developer candidate to contribute to the development and quality for our future and existing technology products.  This position will assist in the building of new platforms on cloud technologies that diversify our portfolio as well as enhancing the technical platforms that drive of our core business. This resource will use their 5+ years of experience in a Software Developer role to enhance the Verra Mobility organization and lead their scrum team’s effectiveness. 

What you'll do

  • Leverage .NET and Azure skills to design, develop, and test high-quality software solutions. 
  • Work closely with the Scrum team to share expertise, mentor team members, and contribute to the development of robust and scalable applications. 
  • Develop clear and concise design documentation to support development efforts and knowledge sharing. 
  • Actively participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and high code coverage through TDD practices. 
  • Navigate the iterative development and release management processes within the Scrum framework. 
  • Collaborate across product teams, Scrum teams, and internal groups to ensure customer needs are met and solutions are thoroughly tested. 
  • Demonstrate expertise in solving complex problems, performing root cause analysis, and resolving production incidents to maintain system stability and application functionality. 
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. 

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (or equivalent experience). 
  • 6+ years of experience building and enhancing C#/.NET applications. 
  • Proven ability to write unit tests (TDD preferred) with 4+ years of experience. 
  • Experience creating low-level design documentation for medium to large-scale projects (4+ years). 
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure preferred) for 2+ years. 
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal), knowledge sharing, and collaboration skills. 
  • Experience within team environments and Agile project methodologies is a must. 

Technical Expertise: 

  • Proficient in front-end development using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript. 
  • Possess a strong background in API development, management, and system integration practices. 
  • Experience in migrating and modernizing legacy applications to cloud-native architectures, leveraging .NET Core and Azure to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability. 
  • Maintain a solid understanding of security practices, including authentication and authorization services. 
  • Demonstrate experience with Azure cloud technologies like Service Bus, App Services, API Management, Key Vault, Blob Storage, and DevOps Pipelines. 
  • Create, update, and enhance Stored Procedures, SSRS reports, and SSIS packages. 
  • Provide technical assistance to end users for inquiries, issues, and technical questions. 
  • Leverage Azure DevOps and Git Version Control System for efficient management. 
  • Integrate automated testing into Azure Pipelines to ensure quality at build and deployment stages.
