Who we are...

Verra Mobility is a global leader in smart mobility. Verra Mobility Commercial Services creates smart roadways, serving the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies to manage tolling transactions and violations. Arizona-based Verra Mobility Corp. currently operates in 15 countries and in 22 languages.

We have established our European headquarters in Amsterdam, from which we have launched our tolling and violation management solution business in Europe in 2019. We further have offices in London, Paris, Madrid, and Budapest, with a workforce of close to 100 people.

Our European tolling business has established relationships with tolling authorities throughout Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Ireland, through which we offer interoperable electronic tolling directly to consumers, through white-label partnerships and to RAC customers, depending on location.

Additionally, our European violations business specializes in the identification, notification, and collection of unpaid traffic, parking and public transport related fees, charges, and penalties issued to foreign registered vehicles or persons on behalf of issuing authorities in more than 17 European countries. We provide our services in more than 20 languages and more than 10 currencies and to leverage existing connections with approximately 30 vehicle licensing authorities and over 600 toll and ticket-issuing authorities for whom we bill violators in more than 135 countries.

Position Overview

As the Product Owner for the European enforcement solutions business, you will be responsible for representing business needs and translating them to technical requirements. As a part of the product management team, you will be the key bridge between business and technology to successfully transition product vision to deliverable outcomes. You will take responsibility over the roadmap of the product, including release planning, backlog management and new features implementation with the scrum team.

Essential Responsibilities

  • A member of the scrum team, representing the scrum team in front of stakeholders, clients or users.
  • Work with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals. Serve as the voice of the client.
  • Owner the product backlog. Define detailed user stories that guide the Scrum team.
  • Solve product-related problems, prioritize, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
  • Draft key objectives and results, strategies and apply the data for the product to make business decisions.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a technical subject (Computer Science or Engineering discipline) is preferred.
  • Fluent in English (C1 or upper). Great communication skills. Being able to present to stakeholders.
  • Experience with technical and functional specifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in:
    • Participating in large-scale strategic and multi-faceted projects with a proven ability to meet delivery deadlines and deliver required functionality
    • Agile methodology
    • Developing User Stories and managing backlog
    • Gathering and documenting business/technical requirements
    • JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Advanced skills with MS Office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.

We'd be particularly excited if you have

  • Experience in Intelligent Transportation Sector or Tolling Industry.
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and DevOps.
  • Understanding of typical multi-tier architectures: web servers, caching, application servers, load balancers, and storage.
  • Some knowledge of common information security controls, guidelines and standards, such as ISO27001, OWASP, SOC 2, NIST.
  • Spanish: B2 or upper.
