Position Overview
The Permit Coordinator at Verra Mobility works with local jurisdictions across North America to understand construction regulations and applies for applicable permits. This individual will work to build and maintain relationships with permitting agencies across the nation. The Permit Coordinator will oversee the permit process and power delivery to ensure seamless installations of traffic enforcement equipment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Understanding of utility, permitting & other external lead times
- Comprehensive understanding of power requirements
- Experience with project managing multiple projects
- Accurately read construction design plans
- Maintain interaction with power companies for design clarification, job scope and schedules.
- Participate in field meetings with external and internal customers, city agencies, contractors, city engineers and field inspectors.
- Attend the permitting agencies coordination meetings and other client meetings as required.
- Establish and maintain relationships with design team and construction team.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience working in permitting
- Associates degree
- Proven experience using project management methods
- Excellent communication with CAD Team / Project Coordinator on a daily basis for the scheduling.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally & in writing.
- Possesses organizational skills and is detail oriented.
- Demonstrates personal motivation, initiative, and potential for growth
- Possess the flexibility to adjust to a regularly changing workload volume
- A committed team player with exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to develop and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships.
