Verra Mobility Commercial Services creates smart roadways, serving the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies to manage tolling transactions and violations. Arizona-headquartered Verra Mobility Corp. currently operates in 15 countries and in 22 languages.

 

We believe there is significant opportunity to further expand into Europe. We have established our European headquarters in Amsterdam, from which we have launched our tolling and violation management solution business in Europe in 2019. We further have offices in London, Madrid, and Budapest, with a workforce of close to 100 people.

 

Our European enforcement business operating under the EPC Plc brand specializes in helping major road operators and cities across Europe with the identification, notification, and collection of unpaid traffic, parking and mobility related fees. This business sits at the core process of over 1,000 road and mobility agencies clients where it enables to generate the value associated with the usage of tolls, low emission zones or parking, by collecting revenues through a pan-European service spanned over 30 countries.

 

Additionally, our European tolling business has established relationships with tolling authorities throughout Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Ireland, through which we offer interoperable electronic tolling directly to consumers, through white-label partnerships and to RAC customers, depending on location.

Position overview

Verra Mobility is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director within the Commercial Services business unit to lead our efforts in Southern Europe specifically France, Spain and Italy for our enforcement business. As the Sales Director for the Southern Europe region, you will drive business growth, help expand our market presence and build strategic partnerships in the mobility sector. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing sales strategies to maximize revenue and achieve business objectives. You will leverage your tolling, parking, road user charging, and enforcement expertise to identify new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and drive successful outcomes. As a key account owner, you will also be responsible for managing client and supplier relationships, being the primary contact with the customer, and interfacing with all internal departments to ensure client needs are met accurately and promptly.

Essential responsibilities

  • Develop an attractive pipeline of opportunities across the Southern Europe region, including France, Spain, Italy and more, aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for our violations business in smart mobility, tolling, parking, low-emission zones, and road user charging.
  • Be the primary point of contact for all French and Spanish Key Accounts in building and maintaining B2B relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, transportation authorities, municipalities, and private sector customers.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, providing insights to inform business strategies.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless project implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Review and research problems, exercise problem solving skills and offer ideas for improvement.
  • Manage client deliverables; ensuring reports, information and updates are provided to client expectations.
  • Resolve external supplier, client and customer issuesAttend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to network, generate leads, and promote the company's solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the smart mobility landscape.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing required; master’s degree in business administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the smart mobility industry, specifically in tolling, parking, road user charging, and/or enforcement required.
  • Strong network and established relationships with key stakeholders in the Southern Europe region.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with smart mobility technologies, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record of successful partnership creation and management in Europe.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Based in Madrid, Spain with occasional international travel required.
