Due to the ongoing requirement to provide support and over watch of our Mobile Speed Camera Operators across the region, we are looking for a committed, full time, Command Centre Coordinator to work shifts from our busy, high tech, operations center based in Silverwater.
This is a full-time Maximum Term Contract (ending June 2026) requiring SHIFT WORK across a roster that operates across 24hrs per day, 365 days per year.
The role
If you are an experienced shift worker looking for variation in your day/night, enjoy technical environments, and like being challenged whilst acting as a critical point of contact for our valued field operators then this may be for you!
You will be the go-to person for our amazing and hard working field staff, including our Mobile Speed Camera Operators (MSCO). Your mission will be to ensure our team is safely coordinated, monitored and supported to deliver safer roads across NSW.
As the primary point of contact for our staff, you will be their guardian angel, always ready to lend a helping hand and provide guidance. Whether it be assisting with scheduling, resolving issues or monitoring your team members ensuring their safety and welfare, you will be the backbone of our mobile speed camera program.
Some of your key accountabilities will include:
- Remotely Monitor Mobile Speed Camera vehicles travelling through GPS and CCTV Systems.
- Act as a first point of contact for, and provide assistance to MSCOs with issues that may arise in the field (including receiving and logging WHS incident reports).
- Providing support to the Network Operations Centre (NOC) Team Lead by coordinating rosters, roster changes and/or shift changes.
- Monitor MSCO’s set up and shut down procedures. Ensuring operational detail is communicated in a timely manner.
- Log, report and support any equipment related issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to special projects across the program, collaborate with your team to drive positive efficiency and safety initiatives.
About you:
- You have the capacity to work across a 24/7*365 through a 4/4 roster pattern.
- You have a passion for technology, capable to trouble shooting and gaining insights from data whilst working with the MS Suite of products.
- You are a multitasking maestro, capable of multitasking while maintaining a cool and collected demeanor.
- You will have a valid and unrestricted Australian drivers license.
- You work collaboratively within your team, someone who understands how to support and empathise with those around you.
- You are task orientated and work easily within protocols and practice.
- You are adaptable, resourceful, flexible and able to problem solve with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of traffic enforcement industry is highly regarded but not mandatory.
