
Senior Financial Analyst
Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for the Commercial Services business unit. This individual will leverage their financial modeling skills, business acumen, leadership, curiosity, and communication skills to provide insights and clarity around financial performance and projections. This position will report to the Director, Finance and will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that drive business performance, ensure financial integrity, and enable data-informed decisions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain driver-based financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages with variance analysis and actionable insights
- Collaborate with department leaders (Sales, Operations, HR, Supply Chain) to understand financial impacts and optimize outcomes
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and what-if scenarios to evaluate investments, pricing, and resource allocations
- Identify margin improvement opportunities, track KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure accuracy of financial data, align with US GAAP and company policies, and support internal/external audits as needed
- Leverage ERP and BI tools (e.g., Oracle/PBCS, Power BI/Tableau) to automate reporting and enhance insights
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus
- 5–7 years in FP&A or financial analysis roles with progressive responsibility
- Advanced Excel skills (nested formulas, Power Query, Power Pivot), detailed financial modeling (3-statement models), and proficiency with ERP/BI tools; SQL skills highly preferred
- Strong presentation and communication skills with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and deliver clear recommendations
- A sense of urgency with strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to lead projects, challenge assumptions, and achieve positive results
