
Scrum Master
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Scrum Master to join our team and lead agile delivery for multiple cross-functional teams in our T2 business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing blockers, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and transparency. You’ll work closely with program management, product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of business outcomes.

This role is situated in a center of excellence structure within the Verra Mobility Program Management Office.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more agile teams, influencing successful delivery of large impact and/or cross-functional initiatives.
- Facilitate key ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Help teams continuously improve by identifying and addressing process inefficiencies. Serving as the Lean-Agile champion and change agent to their aligned program or value stream.
- Protect the team from distractions and ensure a healthy, productive environment
- Collaboration with Product Owners on backlog management and priority alignment
- Track and report out on delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) to help teams optimize performance
- Remove roadblocks and serve as a point of escalation for delivery challenges
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders to ensure alignment across teams
- Subject matter expert for agile/lean/scrum practices. Apply and implement effective scaling methodologies, processes, and tools
- Define, create, and manage agile performance metrics across the portfolio for the organization through dashboards, reports, etc.
- Keep abreast and share agile/scrum best practices. Educate, train, and share with organizations, documenting best practices and implementing standard work.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master with at least 4 years of hands-on experience.
- Hands-on experience with advanced skills in Jira tool set, including creating dashboards, metrics
- Proven track record of setting up and operating in scaled and distributed environments.
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to interact with both clients and application end-users, internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in creating high-performing agile teams.
Additional desired qualifications:
- Experience succeeding in Agile transformations, knowledge in SAFe.
- Experience operating within or supporting a product operating model framework of delivery
