The Role
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of the custom software solution. They will develop test plans, create test cases, execute functional and non-functional tests, perform regression testing, report, and track defects, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues. The Quality Assurance Analyst will also participate in requirement reviews, provide feedback on usability and user experience, and contribute to the overall software quality assurance process.
The Ideal Candidate
You should have extensive experience manual testing web-based services built from scratch. You must be comfortable writing test cases and the tenaciousness to keep looking for bugs. You must be effective at prioritizing workload, balancing demands from multiple projects and ongoing prioritization of goals and objectives, as well as skilled at problem solving and expectation management. You are a curious individual who does not hesitate to ask questions. Ultimately, you understand the importance of undertaking repetitive tasks in an attempt to locate issues with the solutions and enjoy working alongside a dynamic team to resolve them.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborating with team members to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
- Evaluate product code according to specifications
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Report bugs and errors through the process
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and maintain control quality throughout the project lifecycle
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3+ years of QA Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create test cases
- Experience testing in a .Net environment is an asset
- Experience in API testing is an asset
Nice to have
- Ability to query a database
- Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops
