Role Overview

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the APIs and interface integrations in our applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to create efficient, secure, and scalable solutions and ensure seamless integration between various internal products and third-party systems.

What You’ll Do

• Developing, building, and maintaining scalable back-end solutions for server applications to support business needs
• Own projects from inception to deployment, including technical design, development, testing, and post-release support, ensuring alignment with product and partner requirements
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and refine integration requirements, contributing to solution design and documentation, assisting with the business analyst capacity when required
• Designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP APIs, and using tools like Postman, Swagger, or Fiddler for testing and debugging
• Collaborating with other developers, product managers, and designers to ensure seamless integration of server-side applications
• Utilizing programming languages and frameworks such as Python, C#, .Net, C++, or Java to deliver effective solutions
• Managing and optimizing databases, including SQL query optimization, caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Memcached), and data transformations using formats like JSON, XML, and YAML
• Administering Linux/Unix servers, writing shell scripts, and managing secure access protocols such as SSH and SFTP
• Employing Git and branching strategies for efficient version control and collaborative code management
• Managing authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, JWT) and ensuring data encryption, while adhering to security best practices
• Overseeing network communications and protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS, WebSocket, and SFTP
• Managing API interactions and security through API gateways such as AWS API Gateway
• Transforming data formats and ensuring compliance with data interchange standards like REST and SOAP

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Problem-Solving: Effectively addressing and resolving technical challenges
• Attention to Detail: Delivering clean, optimized, and maintainable code
• Adaptability: Staying current with evolving backend technologies and frameworks
• Collaboration: Working closely with front-end teams, designers, and stakeholders for cohesive project delivery
• Communication: Clearly articulating complex technical aspects to non-technical team members
• Analytical Thinking: Identifying bottlenecks and troubleshooting data flow issues
• Documentation Skills: Creating detailed documentation for API connections, data formats, and integration procedures
