The Role
The Revenue Operations & Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring accurate compensation, and supporting strategic decision-making across sales and revenue-generating teams. This role focuses on analyzing sales performance data, maintaining compensation plans, and supporting the end-to-end sales compensation process to ensure alignment with company goals.
What You'll Do
Sales Compensation Administration:
- Own the setup, maintenance, and administration of commission plans within SPIFF.
- Ensure timely, accurate calculation of commissions and bonus payouts in alignment with compensation plans.
- Handle monthly/quarterly commission cycle tasks, including validation, approvals, and dispute resolution.
- Collaborate with Finance and P&C to ensure alignment with payroll deadlines and audit requirements.
Revenue Operations & Reporting
- Analyze sales performance and compensation effectiveness, providing insights to leadership for plan optimization.
- Create dashboards and reports in SPIFF Salesforce, and/or PowerBI to monitor KPIs such as quota attainment, performance trends, and commission costs.
- Maintain accurate sales and performance data across systems, collaborating with RevOps, Finance, and P&C.
Sales Operations Support:
- Support territory, quota, and incentive planning processes across Sales, P&C, and RevOps teams.
- Partner with GTM leadership to assess and model compensation scenarios & territory assignment.
- Maintain data integrity across SPIFF and Salesforce.
- Contribute to process documentation and training materials for compensation and SPIFF usage.
Process Improvement & Strategy:
- Evaluate and improve processes around compensation, territory planning, reporting, and revenue data management.
- Participate in the design and rollout of new sales compensation structures and tools.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, finance, or compensation analysis, preferably in the software industry supporting Sales Leadership.
- Hands-on experience with SPIFF (desired); experience with Salesforce and commission tools preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce) and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Advanced Excel skills (LOOKUPS, PIVOTS, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and Senior leadership.
Impress Us With
- Experience in the software or SaaS industry with knowledge of subscription and recurring revenue models.
- Proficiency in SQL/Power BI or other data analysis tools for advanced reporting and analytics.
- Understanding of sales performance metrics, GTM strategy, and territory/quota planning.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
