If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who can help shape mission-critical systems that serve as the backbone for Police, Fire, and EMS. The Senior Product Manager – Athena, will lead the strategic modernization of Athena, a CAD/RMS suite designed to support U.S. public safety agencies. Athena provides mission-critical capabilities for Computer-Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Mobile Data, and Incident Command. You will guide the vision, strategy and execution of products, working closely with customers, marketing, designers, and engineers to deliver solutions that simplify complex workflows, support critical decision-making, and enhance community safety. This position is both strategic and hands-on — balancing long-term product direction with day-to-day prioritization to ensure our products continue to lead the industry.  This job posting is being used to fill an existing vacancy.

What You Do

  • Define the product’s vision and long-term strategic direction, ensuring it stays competitive and future-ready through targeted modernization initiatives.
  • Clearly articulate the business case and customer value for each initiative, identifying market opportunities and defining success metrics to guide development and drive strategic success.
  • Manage and oversee all elements of the product development lifecycle, from initial concept and research to post-launch optimization.
  • Take accountability for the product’s P&L and pricing strategies to drive revenue growth while maintaining alignment with the broader Versaterm ecosystem.
  • Work closely and collaborate with customers, marketing, designers, and engineers to deliver solutions that simplify complex workflows and enhance community safety.
  • Champion user experience transformation by applying contemporary design principles to legacy systems to modernize the experience.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (CSPO, SAFe PO) are a plus.
  • A minimum of 7 years of product related experience, ideally within enterprise SaaS or public safety; experience in the CAD/RMS space or public safety domain is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience across strategic execution, including pricing strategies, business cases, and P&L management.
  • Technical acumen or familiarity with software engineering concepts like APIs and cloud architectures.
  • Experience leading UI/UX redesigns or the integration of emerging technologies into mission-critical platforms.
  • Experience establishing value propositions, product messaging, and effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills (writing, editing, and presentation), with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive audiences.
  • Deep expertise in Agile frameworks and hands-on proficiency with JIRA and Confluence; experience with "Aha!" is considered a strong asset.
