IT Enablement and Operations Manager
Position Summary
Vertex Service Partners is seeking an IT Enablement & Operations Manager to lead the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of the company’s core IT systems and employee technology experience.
This role serves as the operational owner of key enabling technologies—particularly Microsoft 365, endpoint management, and identity systems—while partnering closely with Vertex’s managed services provider (MSP) and internal teams to ensure employees across the organization are always ready to work.
The IT Enablement & Operations Manager will play a key role in enabling productivity, driving technology standardization across operating companies, and supporting integrations during acquisitions, while continuously improving the reliability, security, and usability of Vertex’s technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
Enable Employee Technology Experience
- Ensure employees across Vertex and its operating companies have a reliable, seamless technology experience.
- Monitor user touchpoints, support trends, and system performance to proactively improve service delivery.
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational needs and ensure technology supports productivity.
Own Core IT Operations
- Manage and continuously improve core IT services supporting employee productivity and collaboration.
- Serve as the operational owner for Microsoft 365, endpoint management, and related infrastructure platforms.
- Monitor service health, ticket trends, and system performance to identify operational improvements.
Drive Technology Standardization & M&A Integration
- Lead technology consolidation initiatives across operating companies following acquisitions.
- Gather and assess partner company IT environments to identify opportunities for standardization and cost savings.
- Execute transitions to Vertex’s core platforms while minimizing disruption to end users.
- Support Day 1 onboarding, tenant migrations, endpoint standardization, and tool consolidation during acquisitions.
Manage Endpoint and Device Lifecycle
- Own endpoint management strategy using tools such as Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and device management platforms.
- Improve device coverage, policy compliance, and endpoint standardization across the organization.
- Oversee application deployment, provisioning workflows, and device lifecycle management.
Vendor & Managed Service Provider Oversight
- Manage Vertex’s relationship with its MSP and key IT vendors.
- Enforce SLAs, participate in quarterly business reviews, and escalate critical issues when needed.
- Continuously improve support processes to ensure efficient service delivery and strong user satisfaction.
Security, Governance & Operational Resilience
- Ensure systems adhere to Vertex security baselines, governance policies, and asset management standards.
- Assist in responding to cybersecurity incidents and strengthening organizational resilience.
- Maintain accurate asset inventories, device standards, and system documentation.
Continuous Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and reduce manual work.
- Pilot new tools and workflows that improve scalability and operational efficiency.
- Build lightweight documentation and repeatable playbooks to support standardized IT operations.
Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, or endpoint management.
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments and endpoint management platforms such as Intune.
- Experience working with or overseeing Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
- Experience supporting technology integrations, migrations, or consolidation initiatives, ideally within multi-entity or acquisition-driven organizations.
- Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Entra ID/Azure AD, Teams, SharePoint).
- Endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or similar MDM platforms.
- Application deployment and device provisioning at scale.
- Familiarity with IT service frameworks such as ITIL or Lean operations.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity controls and governance practices.
- Strong ownership mindset and bias toward action.
- Analytical thinker who uses operational data to drive improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure
Compensation for this role may be provided as hourly pay, salary, commission, piece-rate, bonuses, incentives, or a combination of these methods, depending on the position. The “Estimate of Total Expected Annual Earnings” listed reflects our good-faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this role, based on factors such as experience, skills, candidate geographic location, state the job is located in, historical trends, and business needs. Actual earnings may vary.

Estimate of total expected annual earnings:
$80,000 - $100,000 USD
