Vertex Service Partners is seeking an HRIS Specialist to support and enhance our HR, Talent and payroll technology ecosystem across all partner companies. This role serves as the subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now and related HR systems, ensuring data integrity, compliance, process efficiency, and exceptional employee experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
HRIS & Payroll Systems Management:
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now, and related HR systems.
- Manage organizational structures, company codes, system maintenance, and security administration.
- Support payroll processing system enhancements and data integrity initiatives.
Compliance & Audit Management:
- Conduct payroll, tax, and compliance audits.
- Review earnings and deduction code standardization, onboarding/offboarding experiences, and pay statement compliance among other system consolidation.
- Support amendment processing and state payroll compliance.
- Register Vertex and its subsidiary companies for state tax and unemployment insurance accounts in new states as the company acquires businesses or launches greenfield operations.
- Coordinate with payroll, legal, and finance to ensure timely state withholding, SUI, and other required registrations ahead of new hires or payroll runs in a given state.
- Configure, set up, and maintain jurisdictions within ADP for the federal, state, and local registration status, account numbers, and filing requirements across all active states of operation.
Systems Enhancement & Integration
- Manage integrations between ADP, Greenhouse, carriers, and third-party vendors.
- Support API integrations, data reconciliations, onboarding improvements, PTO administration, and timekeeping enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and employee experience through technology.
Key Outcomes
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and scalable HRIS and payroll systems.
- Improve onboarding, benefits enrollment, and employee self-service experiences.
- Successfully execute tax cleanup, compliance audits, and system enhancement projects.
- Support future M&A integration and data consolidation initiatives.
Qualifications & Characteristics
Required:
- 3-5 years of HR, Payroll, HRIS, or related systems experience.
- Hands-on ADP Workforce Now experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax administration, multi-state compliance, deductions, and audits.
- Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate servant leadership and influence without authority.
Preferred:
- Greenhouse ATS administration experience.
- Private equity or M&A integration experience.
- Experience with HRIS integrations, APIs, and vendor management.
- Experience working on prevailing wage /government contracts

Compensation
- Competitive base salary of $85,000-$95,000.
- Eligibility for performance-based incentives.

Actual earnings may vary.

$85,000 - $95,000 USD
